For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Day One!

Hi all,

I have just started my first day of fasting today after reading the book over the weekend. I'm looking forward to feeling healthier and hopefully loosing a few inches in the process!

So far I've just had an apple around 2pm and am starting to count down the minutes until salmon and veg in a couple of hours. Quite amazed at how easy it has been so far - much easier to stick to when I know there is nothing I can eat so there is no temptation to have just one biscuit, etc.

Not sure how easy it will be long term but I suppose that will depend on whether I notice the benefits.

Looking forward to hearing from you all and hopefully giving and getting some support. :P

Making the decision to start is the first step! So far you seem to have done brilliantly on your first day and you've planned your evening meal too, which is a good idea. Make sure that you drink plenty of fluids throughout the day. I'm on my seventh fast today and it does get easier!

Welcome Gem, I'm fairy new myself and finding it easier each time. Also lost weight and an inch! Good luck and happy fasting.

Thanks for the support, day one went really well. I did feel really tired, grumpy and headachy the next day - hopefully my body will get used to fasting days!
