Newbie!
20 Feb 2013, 18:03
So I heard of this plan about 4pm this afternoon, on another weightless forum. By 7pm I had downloaded and read the book, found this forum and am raring to go! It just makes a lot of sense.
I'm living in the Middle East at the moment and saw Ramadan first hand, people really did lose weight and looked much healthier despite the hot weather and lack of food during the day.

Unfortunately I'm in 2 minds about whether to start tomorrow with a fast or wait until after the weekend when I'll have finished my shifts.
Any tips for fasting on a 12hour shift?

I think I'm gonna give it a go tomorrow, if work is busy it'll make easy to skip eating at first break ( I'm not a breakfast fan anyway so usually don't eat until about 10am) and then have tuna salad at lunch. And have an emergency apple in my bag! Thankfully there's unlimited supplies of tea and coffee!

Hi Lexybelle and welcome! :)

Good luck for tomorrow if you decide to go for it.

Hi lexybelle, I've just started today and have found it so much easier to stick to while at work. I tried to start on Saturday but just found it too hard to stick to on the weekend. I find work a really good distraction. Good luck :)

Well I slept in this morning and didn't have time to even consider eating and i'm crazy busy at work, to the point that I'm only now grabbing a quick coffee when some others are thinking about lunch, so looks like fate has helped me start the fasting today!
Hopefully I'll get away for lunch before the salad bar closes, I think I need something to eat so I can concentrate on my patient!

I completed my first day without too much trauma, being busy definately helped I think. My plan for fasting on days off is to spend the day on the beach ( sorry to anyone freezing in UK) as I struggle to eat when I'm in the sun and it has the benefit of making me sleepy so I crash out early!
