I'm new to the 5:2 diet, and have come to this forum as a way of keeping myself busy on my third attempt at staying at 500 calories!
I started the diet last week and could only manage one fasting day, which was Wednesday. That day I ate about 580 calories. This week I'm doing Monday and Thursday. Monday I ate about 580 calories again, but today I'm on track for the 500 - provided I go to bed early!
I've been inspired by the TV programme and have downloaded the book onto my Kindle. Hoping that the forum will help me to stick to the plan and give me new coping strategies for the fast days.
