Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

What a difference!
21 Feb 2013, 17:38
Well, it's my second fast today. I ummed and aahed as to whether to do it today or tomorrow but bit the bullet. I thought I'd try to save my cals till tonight as I had a breakfast last time and it was hard stopping at 200 calories!

I'd planned to take my girls out bowling and today I did something I NEVER thought I would EVER do.

I sat in Burger King and did not eat a thing! (Well I did have the gherkins out of my sisters burger)

I really couldn't imagine ever doing that and I'm so pleased with myself! As dinner approaches I am looking forward to my 500cals, and feeling very smug!

Just thought I'd share!!

Yes, you feel really good with yourself when you achieve something you never thought you could do - well done. I usually fast on my days at work as I find that much easier but I have had to do two fast days while at home, thinking I would never manage it, but I have and feel so pleased with myself. It shows we can do something when we really try and when we know we can eat the things we want the next day. Good for you.

Well done you! It's a great feeling when you can hold strong and not eat simply because others are. Hope you enjoyed a good dinner tonight after that!

It's a non fast day for me today and we went for a fish and chip tea tonight.
I left half my fish and half my chips......very first time ever. I feel totally stuffed and still have calories left to use up, so going to have some strawberries that I have to use up.
It's amazing how full I feel now after I suppose a normal sized portion.
