For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

4:3 to get started??

Hi. I have just finished my 2nd fast on my first week and found it surprisingly easy. I have about 3 stone to lose and was wondering if fasting on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays would be a good idea to get my weight loss kick started? Has anyone else done 4:3?

Have a play with the Progress Tracker and see how much weight your demographic loses on average with the various diets.

I do ADF and I don't lose faster than those on 5:2, I don't think. It's really experimenting to see what suits your life and what you can sustain over the time it takes to lose 3 stone, a pound or two at a time.
