My background? Well I've been fat since my early 20s and kept getting fatter thanks to a combination of convenience food and too much booze. I've made at least a dozen attempts to U-turn the situation down the years, including WW, SW, Atkins, Dukan, Lighter Life, plain old calorie restriction...plus the sillier end of the scale such as amphetamines and even a 5 month stint of having one cheese/colslaw sandwich and 1/2 bottle of red wine a day. I've lost my entire body weight several times over, only to regain it slowly but surely when returning to 'normal eating' so now I'm here trying a completely different approach. Luckily for me, I find the fasting aspect fairly easy as long as I consume my 500 calories in one meal in the evening...if I try to eat anything earlier it simply sparks up my appetite and then I can't think of any else but food!
Because I've got so much to lose I'm currently drifting into 4:3 rather than 4:2 with the aim of doing Mon/Wed/Frid most weeks; but if life gets in the way and I go to 5:2 that's fine too.
Looking forward to picking up some golden wisdom on these boards!
