Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi there
24 Feb 2013, 13:24
I'm a 66 year young grey haired (The little that's left)old codger.
I have been overweight most of my adult life.
I
started 5\2 two weeks ago and have lost 5lbs. This brings me down from 216lbs to 211 lbs. My target is 185lbs.

So bear with me as I can resist everything except temptation and have the willpower of a 4yr old.

Hi Bob welcome, fairly new to 5:2 myself & also lacking in willpower but surprisingly have found fast days relatively easy. Like most people on here I find it easier not to eat till evening, a small meal seems to trigger the munchies!

I'm 60 Ina few months, and intend to be healthy for a lot more years to come too.
Welcome to all the new people. I've been doing this now since mid January when my sister told me about the program and I watched it online.
My attitude to food has changed dramatically without even trying, and I seem to have lost the desire to snack.
I've lost 5 kgs and feel better physically and mentally than I have done for a long time.
I have a lot more energy, and feel generally happier within myself.
Good luck to you all.

Welcome and not so much of the old please! My Other Half hit sixty this year and I have one year left of being in my fifties. We are both doing 5:2 together and already seeing good results. Good luck.
