After a week I feel very positive and enjoy the 5:2 style of dieting as I can now enjoy my food without feeling guilty when I eat the food I love on a non-fast day. For the first time in 40 years I feel positive about food and because nothing is forbidden I actually don't want to binge on or deny myself the things I enjoy. I don't binge because I can have some more if I want but, the fact is, because it is no longer off limits I don't want a huge portion of the "forbidden" food.
I feel more relaxed around food and can see this as a permanent lifestyle and with the added bonus of being half a stone lighter already I am really happy. I am now happy to think that I should be able to lose weight at a rate of 1 - 2 pounds weekly healthily and above all happily.
