If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

1st day nearly done

Well I've nearly got through the first day - might have to go to bed early to ignore the hunger!
Kept really busy all day and noticed the hunger pangs would go after 10/15 mins and I drank lots of water/coffee/tea - its really just the last couple of hours that have been a real struggle.
Really nice to know that when I get up tomorrow I can just have a bowl of cereals and enjoy it with no guilt! Have just switched from Weight watchers. Was doing well on it (10lbs in 5 weeks) but its constant hard work and I know I'm about to fall off it and just start eating again. So thought I would switch to this and see how it goes!

It gets easier....I remember when I started I used to dream about food every fast night...I was starving...but it's so easy now....I lost all my weight with ww ....then discover this 6 mths ago...and been a convert ever since....and it's free x

Thanks everyone! I'm having to do my second one today with only 1 day break - just because of social things tomorrow. Will struggle through it this week and embrace it next week with 2 normal days between! I went to bed hungry on monday but woke feeling absolutely normal and not as hungry as most days!

Well done kimbers99 and welcome - glad you found 5:2 - good luck with the social things (I've got my mum's 80th birthday party this weekend, so I know it's going to involve a lot of feasting for me too - may well do 4:3 this week to prepare for it!) Good luck and enjoy :)
