The FastDay Forum

Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

I read the book and chose to start at 12 noon for the 24 hours fast. But the calorie/meal reduction doesn't seem to work as well using the overnight timing. So after a light supper, I will now use this as a gentle entre, and start again tomorrow. I am out for Chinese lunch so will ask for miso with greens, hoping there aren't hundreds of hidden cals; one of the problems of eating out I suppose.
Welcome! Yes, I'm not sure you'll have great results with the 24 hour fast - maybe if you consume no calories at all in those 24 hours. But it's a great gentle entre and there's always tomorrow :-)
