Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

I am on my 2nd fast day after finding the 1st day ok eating wise....I just needed to have a quick power nap at 6.30pm in the evening whilst my kids were at a club! I never sleep in the day! I guess this is to be expected at first.
I am a bit of a binger and I have a few questions:
1. Is it ok to exercise on a fast day? I actually work in fitness and teach classes but am concerned that eating 500 calories and then doing exercise that burns this 500 is dangerous? Or is it ok?
2. How do you stop going AWOL and bingeing on your feast days! I expected not to be hungry but ate about 3000 calories yesterday and am only 5 ft 2!
3. Is chewing sugarfree gum ok?
Thanks for listening - I think this forum is ace btw!
