Quaker Oats - oats so simple
28 Feb 2013, 14:36
Are Quaker oats so simple with semi skimmed milk a good choice on a fast day?

These are about 209 kcal with semi skimmed milk so seem like a good choice? Let me know what you think.

Thanks
I had Oat so Simple original porridge, (made with semi skimmed milk) the first 2 weeks, on my fast days. I love porridge in the morning. It's hot and comforting and keeps you going for hours. However, I had a problem trying to work out what to have for dinner in the evenings that was about 250 - 300 calories. I've never calorie counted before and it felt simpler to just not eat until the evening.

I had porridge this morning though as I am NOT fasting today. Good luck.
Im on my 6th fast day today ....My first couple I tried to devide my day into 3 light meals...then on my 4th fast day....due to circumstances I didnt get to eat until the evening and had my full 500 calories to play with ....I honestly didnt feel any more hungry for not eating all day ...actually think if anything I was a little less?
so thats what I have been doing since...although it very early days and everyone is different....you will eventually find what suits you best
Love my porridge and am soooo looking forward to a comforting bowl tomorrow morning !
