Found out about the 5:2 a week ago and decided to try it - after two fast days I already lost 5lbs (or in my case, about 2.2 kgs) this morning! Nearly fell off the scale with excitement! I'm sure it won't be that much every week, but what a fantastic kick-start and motivation to continue to eat right!
Despite loads of exercise and obsessive calorie counting the past two months, my weight just seemed to stay on a plateau; I think this diet might well be my saving grace!
Felt a little hungy at times on the fast days; but much less than I expected, and overall I feel great!
All your posts I've read so far have been very helpful - Yay for 5:2!
