If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

I've been away travelling for the last month and have had lots of time to think how I am going to change my eating habits. I do exercise and have entered my first half a marathon in march and would like to lose some more weight before attempting this.

At the beginning of last year I weighed 13 stone and am now down to 11 1/2. I've tried following diets but am just awful at them. This seems like an ideal solution. I think I am going to try with the three days a week and see how I get on.

Finding this forum is great, I do intend to use it to track my progress and be inspired by others!

I'm really excited about giving this a try and making some new friends! :D

Welcome to the forums, Berry - and of course to the 5:2 (or in your case, 4:3) way of life. You were about the same weight as I was (actually I was a little more) and I'm now down to 11st 4lbs and dropping - so I'm sure 5:2 will go well for you too!
