Hallo

Hi, I'm new to the forum, I've been doing the fast diet for about a month now. I'm getting used to the fast days, but I've had a wobble on my feast days.

I think initially I used feast days as pig out days (my but it was fun lol) the result is I haven't really lost any weight yet. Well, I've lost weight but then regained it on normal days. Having got the 'pigging out' out of my system I'm now settling down to eating nice but sensible meals on my normal days. Too early to say if this is working yet. I have noticed a recent inability to eat large meals and I definitely get fuller quicker now. I went to a dinner party last week and didn't have much starter, a normal plateful for the meal and could barely manage pudding - which is a huge change for me. Normally I use events as an excuse to go a bit mad.
I've lost 1cm off my waist and I'm losing the anxiety/ panic I had around food. My next step is to start working my way up to 10,000 steps a day.

Hi & welcome! It sounds like the novelty of eating what you like is wearing off and you're settling into a better way of eating - I'm sure you'll notice the weight loss soon!

It does sound from your post as if you're weighing daily, which actually doesn't give you a true idea of your weight as it fluctuates throughout the week depending on all sorts of factors. It's really best to just weigh once a week (or less often - fortnightly or monthly even!) on the same day, at the same time of day - the downward trend on the scales will be more clear then. Depending on how much you have to lose the loss may not be apparent at first as when you're carrying more weight, the natural variations in your weight can be more pronounced and can sort of mask the actual weight loss for a week or so!

Keep at it and I'm certain you'll see the results you want :)
