Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi from Canada

Hi I'm new, saw MM's Horizon program on Sunday, bought Kate Harrison's book the same day (have to wait a couple weeks for MM's book, is on backorder) and my first fast is today. I'm in Canada (near Toronto), wondering if there are any other Canadian's here? It's 10 am here and the stomach is rumbling, but I know it will pass and I have a plan for the day.

I tend to be a forum lurker more than poster, but I look forward to meeting other 5:2 dieters!

Warmly, Pam

Hi Pam & welcome :) It's so lovely to be getting more international members now as word of this way of eating spreads around the world!

I'm not sure if we have any Canadians here or not yet, but I'm sure they'll make themselves known to you if there are. We're certainly getting a lot more members from your side of the pond now so I'm sure if there aren't any yet, there soon will be :)

I'm from Barrie Ontario. I just started this diet on Thurs and will be fasting on Mon and Thurs. Yesterday's fast went better than I had expected. I waited till lunch to have a protein shake and had turkey and vegetables for dinner. I'm hoping to lose around 20 lbs over the next couple of months. Hopefully some more Canadians will join this site as soon as the book becomes available in Canada.

Hello All - I'm Canadian too (Saskatchewan), just joined a couple weeks ago and was also wondering if there were any other Canadian fast diet-ers out there.

Does anyone have the book yet? It was released on Feb. 26 but my usual sources didn't have it (yet). Am looking forward to reading through the information after having watched the documentary. May get it from the library, or just order it online.
