Starting tomorrow
06 Mar 2013, 12:45
Hi.

I am really excited to be starting this new way of eating tomorrow. It resonates with me, and feels very doable - and makes sense.
I have found and dusted down an old set of small measurement scales to measure amounts on the fasting days - not something I'm used to doing, but it will be fun.

I am intending this to be fun and easy, to feel more energetic and to see the excess weight gradually slipping off in a seemingly effortless way.

It's always great to have the support of others - looking forward to connecting with others here.

A bit about me - I'm nearly 58, was naturally slim until into my 40's and then have gradually put on weight over the years, until now - when the 5st excess feels it is time to go!! I especially am looking forward to the excess weight around my stomach area decreasing.

Welcome CM, keep us posted how you are getting on tomorrow. I found it a bit of a scary idea before my first Fast, but tomorrow will be my 10th and it really is fine.
My main advice is to be prepared, decide what you are going to have to keep you going through the day and how you are going to spread your 500 cals out. Many people save the majority for an evening meal, but I find I need a mini lunch of soup, I make my own but the Heinz WeightWatcher range is a good standby.
Keep busy, that way you are less likely to think about food, and read through the forum for ideas.
Good luck
