Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Well my 1st fast day is just about there, been ok I suppose but I am extremely hungry right now, waiting on hubby coming home so I can scoff my very low calorie curry lol

How is everyone doing x
My first day today aswell. Have you eaten anything atall yet today. I had half a pot of soup (130 cals) at lunchtime and have just had another pot of soup (260 cals) for tea, I was starving by then as I have a pretty active job, but am pleased to say I feel pleasantly full after the soup, now just to get through the evening. Early night anyone? x
Hey

Yeah I had 2go ahead biscuits then a cup a soup at 50cals, a coffee and 2 green teas, with loads of water, suppose I just need to get used to it, I'm concentrating on tomorrow lol feast day  xx
I wonder if drinking vegetable broth would be filling and low calorie enough to get through those starving days. :?:
Lol perhaps, cause water just ain't cutting it here ha! Xx
This is going to sound odd, but at lunchtime on a fast day I have a fruit tea and 'eat' it out of the mug with a teaspoon. It seems to fool my brain into thinking I've had something to eat.

Give it a try - it might work for you too! :)
Ohhhhhh that's sounding interesting, will give it a bash, how long u been on this for? Is it working for you x
I've been doing this for 6 or 7 weeks and have lost my first half stone, so seems to be working so far! :)
It does get easier! Stick with it but don't forget that 'normal' eating on a non-fasting day isn't necessarily your usual 'normal'! Some of us have a very skewed idea of what normal eating is and that is why we have surplus weight to lose!

Good luck to all the newbies out there!
I usually eat 1200 in a normal day and I'm pretty healthy most of the time with lots of fruit and veg, yeah ill eat chocolate and crisps just hope this works for me, thank u for the info

Jemima that's excellent half a stone is really good x
If you usually have 1200 cals, make sure you eat enough on feed days or you'll end up averaging too little over the week and really not eating enough to sustain you properly. (assuming that 1200 is somewhat calorie-restricted, though it may not be for you.)
