I've taken the decision to give this diet a go. I need to lose weight but i love food and i am very worried that i am going to pass out on the fasting days. I struggle to go 4 hours without food!! But, i want to give it a try so here i am. anyone else made their mind up to start this week?
Hi chubby runner and wlecome! :)

Hopefully you'll find all the inspiration you need on these boards.
Hi Chubby Runner, I only started last week and am loving it already. Have only heard good things about this diet / plan.
Hi Chubby Runner, welcome to the forum. I, like you love my food, and was worried about passing out. The first day I felt a bit lightheaded, but I now believe it was all in my head !! Not felt like it since. I think it was just the thought of only 500 calories, not something I am used to. I actually really enjoy my fasting days now and I still enjoy cooking from scratch and eating on my feeding days. I think I appreciate food alot more now. Good luck with your journey.
Welcome! :-)
I also had the same worries but I haven't had any blood sugar drops! It's just your mind trying to talk you out of it missing all the junk it wants as it will make you sick (or so it says) alas we stick at the diet and find actually we are fine on fast days. Tomorrow is only my 5th fast day and I already feel more alert and less hungry, I don't snack often now at all!
I think we've all been so conditioned by advertising to think that hunger pangs are bad. I used to think I couldn't go more than 4 hours without eating or I would get shaky and for years haven't gone to bed hungry in case I can't sleep. Well after 1 week on this plan I have proved to myself that it just isn't true. I can go all day without eating and function perfectly well at work. I'm enjoying food (always have lived to eat and not eat to live) but find that I'm not snacking and picking as much. I'm hoping that in a month the tape measure and scales show a bit of a dip.
Hi Chubby Runner,

I did my first fast day yesterday, I had high hopes as I had read a lot on here about how it's never as hard as you think it'll be...and it wasn't! I was worried I'd pass out on the school run but I used 150 cals on some Porridge before I left and felt absolutely normal. Bit of a headache but otherwise nothing negative to report. I was pleasantly surprised and I'm feeling positive about the next one. I also love food, it's a big part of my life but today I've had a little bit of what I fancy, chocolate, crisps etc and don't feel even slightly deprived (I did add up my cals for today out of curiosity and came in just over 2000 cals, but considering my calculations tell me I should have 2,410 I'm still way under). Good luck with the plan
