I am planning on starting this diet either tomorrow or Tuesday but I am the pickest eater in the world and i cant cook lol. I was thinking about eating a couple cans of green beans and mushrooms, lettuce with cucumbers. Is this a good idea? Any other suggestions, I love chicken but I can't cook and everything in the freezer at the store are high in calories. Please help

Welcome! Where are you from? I can lead you toward good freezer things in the US, and there are loads of posts about great freezer foods in the UK.

Easy easy chicken breasts - if you have a butcher shop you can go to, now is the time to meet your butcher. If not, go to the grocery store. At a butcher shop, ask for a six ounce boneless, skinless chicken breast, and if you ask nicely, they will pound that thin for you. In a US grocery store, you can get "thin sliced" chicken breasts or chicken "tenders" or "tenderloins". Also buy some seasoned salt. If you want to get fancy, find a spice blend that looks good. Lemon pepper is very good with chicken. And buy a can of cooking spray / spray oil.

To cook it, season both sides of the meat with seasoning. Heat a nonstick skillet on the burner for about 30 seconds or so on Medium High heat. When the pan is hot, spray in some pam and then pop the chicken into the pan. Let it cook for about 4 minutes on that one side, spritze the raw side of the chicken with the cooking spray and flip it over. It's important to not flip it too soon. The edges should be looking fairly cooked. Then cook it for another 4 minutes, and it should be done. 6 ounces of chicken is about 165 calories. Or if you're european, it's about 1 calorie per gram of chicken - 136 grams is 140 calories. (that's raw weights, btw).

For veggies. Get some frozen veggies - asparagus or brussels sprouts or whole peeled onions - or some raw veggies - a bag of baby carrots is very easy. Put your oven on hot (about 400 degrees F). Get a cooking sheet with sides and spray the inside with cooking spray. Put your veggies in the pan (don't crowd them - should be about 1/3 pan showing), sprinkle with salt and pepper and another little spritz of cooking spray. Roast in the hot oven until done (check after 15 minutes, stir put back in - probably will take 1/2 hour). Yummy and easy!

Soups are another easy choice. There are loads of soups here that have between 100 and 400 calories per can. Progresso makes some nice light choices, and you just have to warm them up.
