I've started the 5:2 diet just today - I've been hearing/reading a lot about the diet lately, and at about lunchtime I realised I'd only had an oatmeal all day - so why not start my fast now? I'm up to about my 3rd litre of water/green tea and feeling OK - I could destroy anything that's put in front of me but my resolve is holding. I plan to have a small, 300cal serve of whatever I cook for dinner tonight - the tricky bit is going to be not overeating dinner.
I'm currently 75kg, the heaviest I've ever been, prone to colds and with a jittery digestive system following severe illness last year. Hoping this diet will help shake off a few of my health problems, and a few kilos
