Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hello!
07 Mar 2013, 22:27
Just thought I'd say hello, as I'm new
This is my second week so got through my first 4 fast days- not too painful! I opted to split mine so about 180-200 in morning, then the rest later in the evening. At the moment I am just struggling a bit around 3pm, when I tend to get quite hungry but it did pass. Looking forward to getting some good advice, tips, support etc on here!

Hi Becky & welcome :)
A low cal savoury hot drink (for example half an oxo cube, bovril etc) might help you through that afternoon period for minimal calories.

You may well find you can push your breakfast to a bit later in the morning so that you don't get hungry until dinnertime. That said, you learn to ignore the hunger and then eventually don't even really feel or notice it!

Thanks - it seems to vary, as today I didn't really feel that hungry so that's good! :)
