I found fast 2 quite hard

my plan was to go without breakfast and go straight to lunch, but didnt make it.i went over the 500kcals again by about 50, and felt quite hungry. the first fast i did i actually had noodles for breakfast (i realise some of you will think that is disgusting but i had been up since 5am with my two yr old and by the time i ate them it felt more like lunch), anyway the noodles kept me going really well and i didnt feel hungry on fast 1. so i may go back to that. though advice here seems to go with missing breakfast and low carbs on fast days . i guess its all trial and error. And also i still blooming well did it, am proud of myself. roll on fast 3.

Early days and all that. I have porridge for breakfast and find this keeps me going until my evening soup. It will be different for each of us. You may need to try different combinations to find what works for you. It seems some do not lose weight for a few weeks while others have good losses from the start. As this is now my WOL I am less concerned about how much weight I lose, although it is going down slowly. The longer I do this the easier the fasting is. Well done so far. 50cals over is not too much.

yes it's still early days for you and they are the hardest. give it 4 weeks, by all means try ringing the changes on what you eat and when. I think there is a mental and yes a real physical adjustment that you and your body have to go through don't worry if you slip over the strict calorie count occasionally it is much more important to get into the life change! good luck!

It is a bit of trial and error to find out what works for YOU. If noodles fill you up, then go with those. If you want to eat breakfast (I know I do!), then that's OK as well, there isn't a "one size fits all".

I'm new too and had my first fast yesterday. It went much better than I had imagined. Guess I'm lucky I can drag out the morning and have my porridge (low GI so keeps me fuller for longer!) with blueberries and tea at 11am. Prior to that I did my 3 x 20second stint on my exercise bike. Personally, I could not do without eating in the morning (I have low BP). At 3pm I had smoked salmon, grated carrots, 2 baby tomatoes and 2 olives (roughly 70 cals). At 7pm I had marinated tofu with loads of steamed cabbage. Large amounts of water with lemon throughout the day. I still seem to need my tea with skimmed milk though (had 3 in all yesterday)and, I managed to stay within 500cals so I'm a happy bunny this morning!
