For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself-I just found out about this forum, from another forum :) I currently follow an alternate day fasting plan and do every other day rotations of normal (1,7000c-2,000c)/fasting (350c-600c) days. I've lost around 26lbs and I'm now looking into the 5:2 model for when I transition into maintenance (I have 9lbs to go before I hit my goal weight and make the transition).

I'm a 34 yr old female, 5ft, 6in and currently weigh 144lbs. Right now I don't have any kind of exercise regiment, but I did just buy a pedometer and plan on starting to walk 5 days a week (aiming to start at a mile per day and add more from there).

I'm excited to learn more about the 5:2 plan here and meet others following it :)
Hi there Sarajayne & welcome to the forums! I'm sure you'll find lots of helpful info about the 5:2 lifestyle here and that the transition from ADF to 5:2 will go well for you. Well done on losing so much weight and all the best with your last 9lbs!
