Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Turned a corner..

..I hope!

Today was the first day I only had two meals (not spread throughout the day), first time I did excercise on a fast day (excercise bike said I'd burned 230 calories)and it felt great!

It was weirdly easier than when I was counting every single calories and counting the time down until I could have a tiny snack.

I've not been so happy with the weight loss as its been going up and down a bit, but I have deliberately not skimped on feast days (and perhaps took things to the extreme).

Now however with a few more tweaks (will try breakfast and evening meal as tried no breakfast and had lunch and evening meal)I hope I'm on the right path. No headaches today too which is good!

By the nature of the WoE, weight will go up and down. Have a look at the post earlier today where the guy smoothed his data, very good.

Two meals is manageable, particularly whilst adjusting to the fasting. Exercise is easier when feeling lighter, I find!

aw just by the nature of being human, our weight will go up and down. My doctor said to try to weigh yourself only once a month and hope for small changes. I have been doing every two weeks, because I'm impatient. Sometimes I sneak on the scale early, and I'm rarely happy when I do that!

The important thing is to watch trends over time and look for progress overall :-)

Thanks guys, I'll hang onto the fact that overall weight's gone down. I wish I'd measured my waist before starting so I could check that too (nothing to stop me doing it now though I suppose). I have one pair of trousers where I can definitely feel a difference.

Feel positive that I've found the energy to do excercise as it has fallen by the wayside (months ago). Thanks for the encouragement!
