Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Fast Timings

Dear all,

I had my first fasting day yesterday, being Monday, but my question is does anyone have experience with doing the fasting day from lunchtime to the following lunchtime? Only as that was when I read the book and decided to just get on and do it straight away.

Hi Liz & welcome!

Funny you should ask about that as Dr Mosley recently made a post about this topic:
http://thefastdiet.co.uk/different-ways ... -fast-day/

The folks here who have tried the 24 hour version seem not to have had the same degree of success with weight loss as those of us doing the original 36 hour version.

Can you expand - last normal meal is lunch on day 1, what's next "normal" meal - dinner on day 2 (evening) ?

Hi dinner time was what I meant, as it worked out stayed below my 500 cals in the end.
I think I will stick to the 7pm to 7pm then to eat a normal breakfast approach.
