Newbie question- 5:2 or 4:3?
13 Mar 2013, 08:40
Hi all,

I'm new to this forum, but have been doing 5:2 for 2 weeks now & am on my 4th fast today..
Was slightly up on the scales this morning, but am not going to let that stop me.. After reading various posts on this forum I see that's a common occurrence for people..

My question is if I'm just in the overweight category am I better off doing 5:2 or 4:3 for weight loss? I find 5:2 easy to do, I'm sure 4:3 will be fine too, but am not sure if its unnecessary?
It depends on how you feel. There is a marginal extra bit lost but it's really small, play with the stats on the Tracker to see how it might work for you.

Think it's more patience than quantity required, especially if you haven't got a lot to lose.
I would try 5:2 first then if you feel you're not getting the required result try 4:3, remember this is not a quick fix but a lifetime change.
Great! Thanks, I'll see how 5:2 goes for me and maybe do the odd week 4:3 if I stall.. Thanks again!
