Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!
If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

It was just the thought of not eating the copious amounts that I usually do.
I love the fast days now and actually look forward to them, embrace it and enjoy it. I dont think I have ever been so motivated by any other diet at all!!
How have you decided to eat your 500 calories? Personally, although I usually eat breakfast, on fast days I eat nothing until our evening meal at about 7 pm. I make sure that I keep busy and just drink black tea (my usual drink of choice on any day) and water with lemon juice added to it. If I eat breakfast it seems to trigger my 'hungry switch' and then I want to eat all day, so for me it's best not to switch it on.
I was very apprehensive the first time I tried it but it went very well and I was able to have a really good meal in the evening. I suppose I was worried that I would feel faint, or not be able to do anything for lack of food but, in fact, nothing dramatic happened at all and that is what I have done on every fast day in the six weeks I have been on this WOE (Way Of Eating)
Other people choose to spread their calories through the day and the great thing about this WOE is that you can change things to suit yourself. Hunger pangs come in waves and will pass if you can take your mind off them. My best suggestions for you would be 'keep busy' and 'drink plenty of zero calorie drinks to fill you up and help avoid headaches'
Good luck! Keep us posted on your progress!
