Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi I started the 5:2 diet last thursday.

I've noticed that the day after I fast I get a sore stomach and feel very bloated and windy (sorry). Does anyone else suffer from this?

Thanks

I haven't had to deal with your problem myself but have read posts from others who have had similar difficulties. The general consensus of opinion seems to be that these are short term and that your body will settle down after a short while. Perhaps you are eating more fruit and veg than usual or maybe overeating to compensate on the day following the fast days?
I hope you don't let it put you off, persistence will pay off! This WOE is great!
