For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi all

I'm excited to have found this forum!

My story: I've always been overweight, but over the last 2 years have lost over 4 stone mostly on Weight Watchers. During that time I also got divorced and discovered life again ... so sticking to WW 7 days a week is a struggle, I want to be able to go out with my friends and have a drink/meal, or go on dates and not have to worry about points, so the 5/2 diet is perfect.

I'm now in my 6th week and loving it. I had a good loss my first week then it slowed down to almost non existent - but, I think i was taking the whole 'feast' days a bit too literally :D Sticking to 2000 cals on my non fast days last week resulted in a 2.6 loss which I'm more than happy with! I don't expect that every week, but with another 4 stone to lose every little helps!

Anyway, I look forward to getting to know everyone :)

Yes, it can be tempting to overdo feast day - I tend to call it feed day :-)

I'm glad you found us - I hope you find lots of support here!

Welcome. I find these forums to be really helpful. I too am doing WW, but lose interest and slide back to bad habits. I started my fasting yesterday and it went very well. I am anxious to see what happens after 1 week.
