If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi. I'm Suzie. Just on my first fast day. Watched the documentary in August and was very interested. Have been losing weight steadily since September by conventional means and have managed to lose 2.5 stone but have been getting fed up with the relentless need to 'be good'. Also the health benefits of 5:2 are really appealing to me, after losing both of my parents to heart attacks within the past five years. Looking forward to following some of the threads on the forum. Hi Suzie my first day today too. Have yo-yo'd for years so need to get past the 'diet' mindset and make a permanent change to my attitude towards food. Best of luck to you x

Welcome to the forum. How have you found you're first fasts? I'm 3 weeks into 5:2 so on fast number 6.

Yes I know what you mean, having to 'be good' all the time, track and count every day. It does your head in!

I like the idea of only counting for two days and being relatively relaxed the rest.
