Too easy!
14 Mar 2013, 03:47
Hi Everyone, it's 2.40pm on my first fast day and I really think I have found a diet that will work for me. I didn't eat until 2pm and havent even felt hungry, shaky, headache or anything. Am tempted to see if I can hold out till dinner next time. It's really quite a surprise that I'm not going into melt down! Had a yummy late lunch of smoked salmon 50g, 1 poached egg and steamed snow peas. :geek:

Welcome Kookaburra! I take it you come from a land down under?

I have to say, I also expected to feel shakey, headachey and such, and I really don't. Fasting has gotten to be downright easy! Although I will admit if I don't make sure I drink a lot of water, I do sometimes get a headache.

I hold out until dinner at 6 or 6:30pm and I find it's the easiest way to go, personally. Eating earlier than the just seems to turn on my appetite

Sounds like you had a lovely lunch!

Tracie,

I agree eating earlier in the day seemed to turn on my hunger while today all I have had are liquids and am feeling fine with my only meal around an hour away.

Well done, Kookaburra! You've made a good start and there is plenty of help and chat on this forum. I hope your new 5:2 WOE (Way Of Eating) continues to be a great success. Like Tracieknits, I use all my calories on a fast day for an evening meal and I have never had any problem getting through the day. Give it a try sometime, although it doesn't suit everyone. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!

Thanks everyone, i had my 2nd fast day monday and i made it to dinner. Its actually quite interesting how the body reacts and a bit of a revelation as i always thought not eating would give me the shakes, make me grumpy, light headed etc which it doesnt. By the end of the day it would have been a struggle to do a workout though & i seem to bloat up the next day, does this happenvto others? :?:
