For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi all. Having read all about this way of life in the Mail over the last couple of weekends, it's time for action. My hubby is going to try as well. We are both in our late fifties and really need to take control of our lives.
So I'll be popping in here for advice and encouragement.
So it looks like Thursday will be day one, if I can get to the shops depending on the snow and ice.

Thanks for the welcome. Still trying to decide what to have for breakfast. Think it will be some fish and steamed veg for dinner. Just dug out a unopened pack of Miso, so one item ticked off list.
Miso is something I have to find and try, what's it like?
An acquired taste! Supposed to be 18 cal per 18g sachet.
