If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Just found the message boards

I am a few hours away from the end of my first fast day. I just heard of this plan yesterday on NPR in the US. I am looking forward to doing this for a while. It seems so doable I am very excited to find the message boards!

I am trying three light meals for my fast day because I can get terrible headaches from low blood sugar. I have already drunk about 3 liters of liquid.

Oh welcome!! I too was really nervous about fasting and getting really low blood sugar - but it never happened. My first fast day, I grazed on a big pot of weight watchers "zero point soup". I've gotten much more comfortable with fasting in the last two months and now it's really easy.

Glad to hear this was on NPR - now we'll get all the smart people! ;-)
