Hi All

I'm new and I've done 2 fasts so far that have looked pretty similar. I was surprised how much I could eat for a very carefully planned 500 cals so I thought I'd post my day and ask others to do the same for ideas.

I'm sure there are many threads like this but new ones can't hurt?

Breakfast
2 egg whites and one egg (114 cals)

Lunch
Half a big fresh tub of carrot and coriander soup (77cals)

Snacks
WW sugar free jelly - whole tube (24cals)
8 cherry tomatoes - (16 cals)
100g mangetouts -
Tea with skimmed milk

Dinner
2 Quorn fillets (110 cals)
Eatwater pasta - whole pack (15 cals)
Sharwoods Spicy Szechuan Tomato sauce - half jar (66 cals)
Half a leek (19cals)
A cup of mushrooms (15 cals)
Half a courgette (9 cals)

This is a great post, would you mind if it got moved down to the 5:2 Diet and Health area? I think more people would find it there.

You're right, you can have an awful lot of food if you make smart choices :-) I made a big spinach salad last night - it was enormous and only 150 calories, including dressing! I tend to save all of my calories for one glorious evening meal. I personally find that once I eat, my appetite seems to get turned on for the day. IT's a lot easier for me to just not eat until dinner time. I have black coffee, herbal tea and lots of water. I might have a cup of bouillon if I'm hungry.

Anyways, welcome to the forum!
I made Veg soup, with the dreaded cabbage in it, the other day, and put in green finger chillis, and it was HOT HOT HOT, and it worked out less than 50 cals a pop!

I think walking past a pasty is more calories! This was a great "snack" which was actually lunch! Cleared the sinus out as well!
