Hi there guys new to the 5:2 diet and found this website which looks like it could really help.

Second fast day today, I actually find the fast days really easy until it comes to the dreaded night time. I find that in general I am definitely a nocturnal eater.
My days are healthy and well balanced but it comes to the night time and the rubbish monster seems to come out and all I want is pizza (definitely my downfall) chocolate and sweets I think this was definitely the main contributor to my stone and a half weight gain this year! :bugeyes:

But yes anyways I am just wondering if anybody else has this problem and if they have any tips to help out with the cravings :).

I'm new to this diet too, but having done a diet that was less than 600 calories a day every day for three months I very much understand this!

Drink lots and lots of water, fizzy water (which I never liked before), really helped me, distract yourself with other things, go for a walk, make your fast days the days where you treat yourself with something non food related in the evenings, have a pamper session, start that book you've been wanting to read, have a long soak in a bubble bath, start that hobby that you've always fancied and do it on your fast nights. The cravings will wear off :)

I find that a low calorie hot chocolate drink takes away food cravings in the evening.

Thanks Louise heading to the shop soon for fizzy water so shall have to pick up some of these too :)
