The FastDay Forum

Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

But not new to 5:2.

I have been following Alternate Day Dieting for almost 18 months and about 6 weeks ago moved on to 5:2. I am really loving the additional freedom it gives me.

I am now maintaining and this is an ideal tool.

I look forward to getting to know you and sharing views.

Hi Cindy & welcome! Congrats on doing ADF for so long, I'm not sure I could face it every other day, and I think it would make my social life too difficult to fit around. 5:2 is great like that. Hope it helps you to maintain :) Be sure to let us know how it works for you!

So far, so good, and as you point out, it improves one's social life!

Thanks for the welcome. Cindy
