New to 5-2 diet

Hi everyone, I am new to the 5-2 diet, I have read Michael moseleys book and Kate Harrison's, both very inspiring, and makes me feel like it is something that works, having read lots of posts can see that it really does work!!!. So I am going to start on Monday, which will be my fast day, then fast Thursday, am looking forward to giving it a go, wish me luck!!!!.will let you know how I get on after first week.by the way ,anyone on here from East Sussex.?????

Hi Mandymoo and welcome...
I fast on a Monday and a Thursday but 6 weeks ahead of you!
tiny piece of advice?....have Monday planned !! Know wot you intend to eat and when
Good luck with Monday ....promise you it get easier....just keep yourself organised on fast days!

First week has gone well, thank you - I have decided to fast on Mondays and Wednesdays which are both working days, so I am sitting next to my water bottle and have my mind on other things!

Hi Mandymoo! I am about to start fast day 2 of my first week. The first was tough but I am modifying my second day. How is it going? I see that you started two weeks ago?

Hi,

Well I have been quietly doing this for 4 weeks now, lost 5lbs in my first week but now things have slowed down alot. I have stopped weighing myself as I find this is not good for my motivation - nothing worse than sticking to 5.2, thinking you have done great and only lost 1/2lb or gained!! I think your clothes and looking in the mirror are good indictors if your shape is changing. Mesuring is a good idea too.
I agree that planning is the key, make sure you know what you are going to eat on your fast days - makes things alot easier!
