Hello! After two nights away with a bit too much wine and a first fitting of my wedding dress today is the day I start this journey. I'm not overweight but my dress is about an inch/half an inch away from fitting perfectly and I have seven months (well three before next fitting) for it to be perfect!

So far today I had my usual breakfast at 100 calories, a bowl of miso soup at 29 cals, a couple of carrot sticks and a splash of milk in my coffee. The plan is for a veggie stir fry for tea...not sure if I'm eating too often?

Using my fitness pal to keep an eye on calories.

Does anyone have any tips?

Hi and thank you. It is exciting...really excited about the fasting too, not only with bonus of losing the excess inch to get in the dress but will hopefully have glowing skin on the day!

I only started a week ago but already down 3 llbs. I fasted on Monday and Wednesday this past week. I ate breakfast at about 11:30 and dinner at about 6. I didn't eat at any other time but I drank lots of tea, coffee and water with nothing in them on my fast days. I am a little worried about the weekend bringing it back with so much going on. I have a surprise party tonight and a St Patrick's day party tomorrow. I am looking forward to fasting again on Monday. Congrats on your wedding and so smart to start ahead of time!!

Good luck! I have been on 5:2 for 3 weeks and have lost 4 lbs according to Libra, a handy Android app for tracking weight loss. It smooths out the up and down zigzags, and I have had quite a few of those! I started on 175 lbs and my goal is 150 so wish me luck!
