For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi , I'm new

Hello , everyone.I'm new to the forum , but not new to 5:2.I tried it after Michael Moseley's programme , but didn't persevere with it , even though it felt right.Lack of confidence, I think.
I'm hoping to fast on Mondays and Thursdays. I would like to establish an eating pattern that is good for my health, primarily, but would also like to lose some weight.

Welcome blackbird, I saw the programme in August but felt daunted by it. Started beginning of the year and love it, can see it being a life long choice for me.

I fast on Mondays and Thursdays too
starting week 6 on Monday

Hi weaselsmummy. Yes, it was a bit daunting. Now there seems to be a lot more support, I feel more confident.I really want it to be life long too.
It is great that there is a forum for it, and everyone is so friendly and supportive.

Hi Virginia, thank you for the welcome. Looking forward to starting the journey. Busy working out my 500 calorie days. I find that I have to plan things really well, otherwise I go off track very easily!
