For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

First Day Tomorrow!

Hello everyone,
I have been trying to lose weight for most of my life. I have lost huge amounts on half a dozen occasions and then have put it all back on again. I really want to change my eating habits, feel healthier, start to get the weight off and ultimately feel better about myself. I have never been so heavy as I am now.
So, tomorrow is Day One of the 5:2 Fast Diet. I am ready to start my journey and this time I WILL succeed. I am determined to do this. I must do this!

I have been there, done that. I have the t-shirt in at least 4 sizes ;-)

seriously though, I think this one is the diet for me, I have been doing it since January 8 and despite having a slow thyroid impeding my loss, I have lost 9 pounds so far. My husband has lost 14. :-) And it's just so flexible and so much easier to live with than any other plan.

Good luck tomorrow! The first fast day is the hardest, it gets easier :-)
