Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi All

I have been doing 5:2 for 3 weeks and have lost 3.5lb which i am so happy about. Dont have much to lose so not expecting it to come off quickly. have done 6 fast days so far and can't say i am starting to enjoy them but i just keep thinking of not having to count points/syns which i have done for most of my adult life. Hope everyone else is doing well and seeing results.

Well done Ange, it is good to hear that you are going well. I love reading the posts from some of the really long term 5:2ers and other people's success stories really inspire me.
Hi Ange
Your story sounds alot like mine!
I just completed my 5th fast, I also don't have much to get rid of, but can already feel less bloat and a feeling of a slimmer tummy.
Loving the freedom of the non fast day and the notion of not needing to track points, rather just having an 'awareness' of what I'm taking in.
Fasts are a long day but I quickly discovered that I cope better with leaving all of my 500 cal until dinner.
Congrats on your progress and good luck!
