Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Scottish Newbie Saying Hi

Howdo everyone, the name is Gordon, I'm 43 and I'm from just outside Glasgow and thought i would give this a whirl for a month or so and see how it goes. read about this diet in the newspapers, then found the horizon documentary online.

Repair days as some call them are Tuesday and Thursday, as i find it easier to do this while I'm at work, sitting in house at weekends is far to easy to go snack.

Mainly doing this for the internal benefits, although the outer gut benefits won't hurt lol.

1st week i only had a banana each day then a main meal of chicken and veg and salmon and veg, but today having a tuna veg salad split between breakfast and lunch, then chicken veg and noodles tonight.

Guess the fast day foods will get more varied as i read more on here and get into the swing of this

Hi Gordon, welcome. I'm from Bo'ness. I joined four weeks ago and have lost a stone. Most of that was first week but I'm still happy. I'm a lot older than you so harder to shift weight so if it works for me it will work for you. What I am beginning to feel is so energised! As the weeks go on I feel better and better so even without the weight loss I think that I would keep this going. Good luck.
