Another Successful Newbie

Hi My first, and possibly last post
Found this site because I did an internet search for a mate, who commented on how good I looked having lost weight, and what was my secret. Started a fasting diet on my birthday in late January, and found 500/600 calories hard going I have always been a prolific eater, but only need to lose a stone. So I do three days, usually Tues to Thursday at 750 calories. Have lost that stone in 7 weeks!
Everybody seems to notice. I have a six pack back, well nearly, and that at 65 years So well pleased. Looking forward to the summer, cycling, gardening and playing cricket. The biggest surprise is how I am still able to cope with going to the gym on fasting days (Tues/Thurs)and not struggle. Also I enjoy my food more these days as I usually arrive feeling hungry. I have also moderated what I eat on non fasting days, and drink loads more water, instead of coffee.
Other plusses. I have lost the bags under my eyes and my skin tone is much improved. All I can say is I am well pleased!
Regards
Mike

Yes, I still fast, but not necessarily for three days. We had a weeks holiday in Devon at the beginning of March and I did not fast at all, just chose food with care, and only added 1 lb that week. I am sure leading a very active life, and going to the gym two or three times a week helps. I have always done that anyway. 5ft 11 nearly, and 12 1/2 stone ,or slightly less.

I try to be very active too.
I think it does not necessarily lead to more weight loss but I do believe that once your at your healthy weight it helps maintaining that weight.
And it does help for my mood and just generally feeling better when I'm active.

I hope that once I reach my goal I can go to 6:1 to maintain.
Good that you only gained 1lbs on holiday and you probably lose it easily too?

Good luck and all the best
Sandy
