I am new to 5:2 and I love it. I consider myself a diet expert as I have tried evey diet you can think of over the past 20 or so years and I have failed them all. The 5:2 does not feel like a diet and when I am fasting (done 4 so far) I can stick to it by telling myself I can eat whatever I want the next day and I imagine having some chocolate (I am a chocoholic) and cake and whatever is bad, but when I wake up the next day I don't feel like any of it, but just the thought that I could have, got me through the fast day. I am losing on average 0.5kg/week and for me that is great as I haven't been able to go down on any previuos diet attempts. I actually feel like this is something I could do for the rest of my life.
