hi, I'm Rhian and I'm on my second day of fasting-Monday and Thursday seems to work in well with my lifestyle.
I'm looking to lose around three and a half stone-weight I managed to put on over the course of 12 months due to giving up smoking and then breaking an arm which stopped me exercising for a while.
Have always been a bit of a yo yo dieter, but since giving up the dreaded weed I'm finding it difficult to stop snacking and eating junk food!
Having read the health benefits of the 5:2 diet I'm hoping to break my bad eating habits and improve, improve my health and lose weight-not asking much then! :bugeyes:
I've always been a keen horse rider but I'm afraid I'm way too heavy at the moment and so I'm aiming to get myself fit to ride again this year :like: with your help of course!

Welcome Rhian. You will find lots of good advice and support on these forums. I find them particularly helpful on my fasting days - a great distraction tool when the hungry times hit.

Hi all, a newbie here too, four weeks on this diet so far not lost anything - but after having a read through the forum will carry on regardless and wait for some results :-) getting slightly fed up of my tins of soup on fast days though i have to say :-/
