For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hi all

I am hoping after years of yo yo dieting, this one will crack it for me. I've fasted on Monday and today and feel fine. I have checked my calories on one of the threads and I should be consuming 435 not 500, so will try to get to that mark on my next fast day.

Hi Krissie and welcome to the forums & the 5:2 lifestyle :)

I've been in the same position - spent most of my adult (and teenage!) life on some diet regime or another. Anytime I've allowed myself to enjoy food, the weight just comes back on and creeps up, up and over!
5:2 has been a revelation to me, I still enjoy my food, can eat treats (and I don't skimp!!) and yet lose weight.

Best of luck with your next fast - another Mon/Thu faster eh? Seems there's a lot of us!
