Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

HI
My husband and I are both almost done with our 3rd week of the 5:2 diet. We fast on Tuesday and Thursday each week.

He has lost 3 pounds, and I have lost 2. I am surprised at how easy the fast days are for me. I was expecting to really be starving, but I find myself with left over calories before bedtime and I am not really hungry. My husband uses every single calorie, and is always hungry. So its really different for each person.

I dont know that I feel any thinner, or really any different, but I am going to stick with it. My husband will probably continue as long as I do. He LOVES food so this is much harder for him than for me. I eat when I am hungry but dont crave things often.

I am enjoying this site. I would love to hear what everyone eats on their fasting day.

Thanks!!

Welcome. I eat Campbell's Soup on fast days. Check the nutrition info and you can find 300 cal cans. Get your veges and fast and it's fast. I'm far to lazy to spend hours cooking up a 300 calorie meal. Can bowl close door beep beep wait three and eat. A salad as well gives you 500.
