Introduce Yourself!

Our Frequently Asked Questions topic will answer many of your fasting & weight loss questions!

If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

I had heard about this new WOE a few weeks ago. I bought the book on Thursday, read it on Friday, thought about it on Saturday and got up this morning and decided to continue with the fast from the night before.

Today has been fine. I started to get a bit of a headache this morning, so I drank a couple of glasses of water and it went away. I had my last meal at 11:30 last night and went until 7:00 tonight when I had soup and a bagel totaling 438 calories. I've felt some hunger but it's been manageable.

I don't plan on counting calories on feast days as that was what attracted me to this WOE along with the possible health benefits from fasting.I'm hoping to feel less hungry on feast days as a natural affect of fasting 2 days per week.

Excellent forum btw. Thanks for having me.

Hi Janet, I agree. I'm not counting calories on my feed days either. That defeats the whole purpose of this way of eating and just turns it into another diet. If my weight loss ever stalls, I'll find ways to tweak what I'm doing, but I'll never count calories again. Doing it two days a week is enough!
