For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Newbie on Week 3 ......

Hi Everyone, so I started the 5:2 diet two weeks ago. I didn't really know what I was doing. Just read an article about it and thought it was worth a go. So I chose Mon and Thurs as my fast days as just go started. Have managed 500 cals a lot easier than I thought although I do find myself having the same thing on fast days!!! Just easy that way lol.

So I just about to start week three and have now bought the book and am starting to understand the science behind it. I also am changing what I eat.

One question - has anyone done the 4 day fast? I am thinking of doing it this week after a heavy weekend being Easter.

5lb down in two weeks - 10lbs to go until first goal for business trip on 13th May.

well done, what a good start. I am now going into week 6 today, & i to was tending to stick to the same foods on a fast day (Mon/thurs), but this last week, have made some changes, & am now on fish & veggies for evening meal (was on a ham salad originally). I think it is a good idea to make some small tweaks so as not to get bored. Keep up the good work, & you will soon reach your first goal.
